Cold Water Supply
The cold water supply system is primarily utilized to prepare and distribute cold water in the brewing system. This includes but is not limited to, wort cooling, centrifuge cooling, beer cooling in pasteurization, and other related processes. Cold water is typically maintained at 1-3°C. As a secondary refrigerant, cold water, is typically obtained by cooling room-temperature brewing water with ethylene glycol. Cold water is a safer alternative to ethylene glycol in processes that are in contact with wort or have the potential for wort leakage.
