During the brewing process, wort aeration is the only opportunity to provide oxygen to the yeast. A venturi tube is a common device used in breweries. It uses the negative pressure generated when the wort flows through the throat at high speed to inhale air. The air and wort mix in this turbulent flow, dissolving oxygen. In addition to the venturi tube, a wort aeration system also includes air filters and sterile air filters.
Key Features
Gas one-way valve to prevent wort from flowing back into the gas pipeline
A spherical sight glass in the pipe allows observation of the wort and oxygen mixture
Sterile air piping, all made of 304 stainless steel
CIP cleaning piping, all made of 304 stainless steel
Configuration
The unique structural design is based on strict fluid dynamics.
By controlling the wort flow rate (usually requiring a certain flow rate threshold), a more uniform oxygen dissolution is achieved, thus achieving higher oxygen dissolution efficiency.
The compact unit is easy to inspect, clean, and maintain.
